The women at Christ Church have many opportunities for fellowship, outreach and mission to the local, national, and worldwide community, supportive programs geared for women, and times to gather for spiritual feeding. Please join us through a small group called Circles that are listed below or through any church-wide activity that will be promoted through the church’s marketing. Purpose of UMW
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons thorough Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission thought participation in the global ministries of the church.
Purpose of the Women’s Division
The Women’s Division shall be actively engage in fulfilling the mission of Christ and the Church and shall interpret the purpose of United Methodist Women. With continuing awareness of the concerns and responsibilities of the Church in today’s world, the Women’s Division shall be an advocate for the oppressed and dispossessed with special attention to the needs of women and children; shall work to build a supportive community among women; and shall engage in activities which foster growth in the Christian faith, mission education, and Christian social involvement throughout the organization.

On Morris Street across from Christ Church.
The UMW has a reading program that provides titles that complement our mission focus. Our Unit buys new books every year and keeps them on the UMW shelf in the Church library. Everyone is welcome to come by the Church and borrow a book. Along with the Reading program, UMW meets every Thursday from 11:30 to 1:00PM for Bible Study. All women are invited to join this group for studying Acts. Currently we are meeting on the Green Space on Morris Street across from the Church. Just bring your own chair, your Bible, a brown bag lunch. Every effort is being made to keep everyone safe as mask are mandatory and chairs are kept 6 feet apart during this time of COVID. So come and join us on Thursday for Bible Study under the Trees!
