Preschool (3 & 4-Year-Olds)
The Growing Place offers two (2) preschool classes. The 3-year-old class is comprised of older 2-year-olds and younger 3-year-olds. The 4-year-old class is for older 3-year-olds and children that have already turned 4, but are not yet eligible for WV Pre-K.
The Preschool classes are more structured than the Toddler class and focus on building the foundation of skills needed for success in the Pre-K program.
In these classes, we approach learning and socialization through play and experiences with art, music, and manipulative materials. Teachers prepare developmentally appropriate activities based on the principles of Creative Curriculum and the content areas set forth by the WV Early Learning Standards Framework: Social & Emotional Development, Language & Literacy, Math, Science, The Arts, and Health & Physical Development.
Children in the Preschool classes learn to make new friends, cooperate with others, regulate their emotions, follow directions, and solve problems independently.

Maximum Class Size: 17 Children

- A $30 non-refundable registration fee is due upon enrollment.
- Early drop off is available begining at 7:45am for additoinal fee $45/month for those not enrolled in the full day (after care) program.
