Who is someone you admire, and why?  My daughter Emily is the light of my life and my inspiration to strive to be a better person. From the moment of birth she has faced difficult challenges. She had delays in early childhood development which qualified her for the Birth to Three program before she was even one years old. Diagnosed with Aspergers (Austim), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and hearing issues at an early age, she was unable to truly communicate until she was four years old. Even after overcoming those early years struggles when she was fourteen she was diagnosed with Psoriasis.

Shortly after her fifteenth birthday she was hospitalized for five days to be diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease followed by an Anxiety disorder. And even though she has had to face these difficult situations at such a young age, she smiles brightly, makes friends with those willing, always helpful, and remains in good spirits.

She has always been my joy, but she has also become someone I strongly admire.

Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about? Everyone who gets to know me pretty much knows everything. I do not have a bunch of hidden skills or talents, I like to cook and bake, when the mood strikes me I enjoy writing stories, and nothing else am I really skillful at.

If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be? Japan, I have always wanted to visit the country. It is the one place in all the world I have always wanted to go to.

Finish this sentence. On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me... at home of late, making breakfast for my daughter.

Name three words that you describe you. Friendly, helpful, outgoing

In your spare time, what are you happiest doing with family, friends, and/or alone?  Playing games and socializing. There are a few shows I enjoy watching when not with friends.

What are some causes you care about? One of the biggest causes I can stand behind is the various organizations that tend to the betterment of animal treatments. SPCA is one of these organizations. I believe in Capture, spay/neuter, and release programs. Animals are innocent and if we are the caretakers of Earth and all that roam upon her, we should be better caretakers.

Regular stuff, education/previous work history/etc.  I was born and raised in Texas, from Manvel, to Alvin, Pearland, Friendswood, and Angleton. I graduated with a love of animals and wanted to go into veterinarian medicine. However, one day due to a viscous dog attack and damage to my hand, I suddenly developed a massive fear of dogs. Quickly, I turned from a desire to heal animals to trying to figure out myself and what to do with my life. In 2009 after being a caretaker to my dying father, I decided to try my hand at my second love which was the world of Culinary. I graduated from the Art Institute of Houston with a Culinary Arts Degree in 2013. I spent the next five years in the kitchen, when I began having allergies to certain spices and herbs and developed Asthma. Stepping out of the kitchen, in October of 2019 I received the job offer for Christ Church.

Thankfully, over the years of personal education, I had the skills the Church was looking for in an Administrative Assistant and Web-designer.
